Today was a good day!
For the first time EVER, I’ve actually been considered for a freelance writing job on Upwork.
I’ve BEEN applying but this time I actually submitted a link to one of my blog posts; which I’ve never done before given that I blog under a pseudonym and have never submitted a blog post for a job along with my ACTUAL information. It was scary but I just thought, fuck it…
Now I’ve got an assessment at 10 AM tomorrow (fingers crossed I’ll get some sleep tonight instead of overthinking) but then again I’ve been oversleeping anyway…
This morning, after venting out my frustrations about my job hunting efforts to my sister last night, my sister revamped my CV for me. I was so touched by her thoughtfulness. Hopefully, I’ll get a job soon. Being unemployed can really dampen one’s spirits.
I went to the V & A waterfront with my friend today. I was feeling a bit down so she decided to take me out for some fresh air to lift my spirits. Oh, how I love my friend… Anyway, it was my first time there and I loved it.
Had my very first Starbucks coffee ( I ordered a caramel iced latte), it was DELICIOUS (I posted about this on Instagram). I actually can’t believe I used to think iced coffee was shit because in my mind I didn’t get drinking cold coffee. Obviously, I had NO IDEA what I was talking about!
Oh, by the way, I made my first Boomerang today. I’ve always felt weird doing those kinds of things or having someone else take a video or picture of me. I think it turned out cute…
I’m exhausted tonight. I was planning on watching The Mess You Leave Behind on Netflix. Now, I feel like I’ll doze off within 5 minutes of switching it on. I might as well just call it a day.
