Hello lovely reader!
Thanks for joining me for a new edition of the Creative Corner, a space where we meet the coolest creatives on the planet.
I am thrilled to have Angie, 36-year-old blogger, digital business owner, Pinterest manager and creator of She Can Blog on the blog.
Angie is from the Netherlands and is currently residing as a digital nomad in Belgrade, Serbia together with her husband and daughter.
On She Can Blog, she shares her top blogging, social media marketing and mindset tips.
This blogger will surely teach you a thing or two and help you up your game…

When did you start blogging and why?
I started my 1st blog in 2019.
I had just started my online freelance business and was mostly taking on freelance translation jobs. Since that wasn’t what I wanted to do for the long run, I did some research online to find out which type of jobs were in high demand; SEO experts.
I had no clue what SEO really meant, but decided to go for it anyway and started to follow a course in it. I quickly realized it was much easier to learn SEO with a real blog, so I was able to put everything immediately into practice.
That’s when I started my first blog and I found my true passion in life right then and there!
How do you stay motivated when it comes to blogging?
By always keeping my eyes on the final prize.
It is difficult at times to stay motivated because building a blog is a really slow process with a lot of trial and error.
I can get very frustrated at times because it takes so long to see the results I want. But I know it’s a very good investment in my future and in my career, so I always keep going.
I keep myself motivated by always keeping in mind that today I am planting the seeds for everything that I want in the future and quitting is absolutely not an option for me.
All the great connections I make through Twitter and Instagram always keep me going when my motivation is a bit low. Blogging can be a very lonely profession. That’s why I recommend every blogger to make these connections on social media.
The blogging community is a very warm, welcoming and supportive community.
Which bloggers do you admire and why?
My favourite bloggers are Shane McDaniel from The Country Executive and Ekta Swarnkar of Tia Says. Shane because of his positive vibes and mindset, which is something that I incredibly admire and appreciate.
And my other favourite blogger is Ekta Swarnkar from TiaSays, because she always gives incredibly good blogging tips, and she is very approachable and kind.
These are just two of the amazing bloggers that quickly came to my mind because the list of awesome bloggers that I’ve met during my blogging journey online is endless really.
You’re an amazing blogger as well!
Which of your posts is a “must-read”?
My post about productivity is one of the posts I think every blogger and digital business owner should read.
I provide my own personal tips to be more productive while working from home; especially when you have kids running around as well. I wrote it from my own experience as a work from home mom with a toddler running around.
This has been one of my biggest challenges since I started my blogging business. But with the tips in this post, I sort of managed to get through it.
My daughter is now going to daycare which makes it so much easier now to stay on track and to write content faster.
What do you love most about blogging?
I love the fact that you can work towards something so great. All from the comfort of your own home.
I really enjoy working on my laptop every day in a comfortable hoodie, writing and creating new content that people all around the world will read. As a blogger, you’re constantly spreading your own ‘DNA’ across the internet. Your reach grows a bit each day, step by step, post by post.
It’s so great to be able to help others this way and to make an impact.
What’s your biggest challenge blogging wise?
Getting blog traffic!
I know I should be creating more content and therefore I should be writing more often. But as a mom of a toddler and a Pinterest manager for various companies, I often fail to find time to write new content and be active on social media.
As a result, I grow very slowly and that is my biggest challenge.
I know exactly in which direction my blog business has to go and what I want to achieve. But at the same time, it takes a lot of time to actually achieve it.
Besides, the need to be constantly present on social media to promote your content can be very time-consuming. Nevertheless, I do it all with so much love and I do see growth.
These are the biggest challenges I face with my blog. All more than worth it though! 🙂
What do you forward to the most around the holiday season?
To be with friends and family.
We live in Serbia, but my family lives in the Netherlands. I hope we’ll be able to visit the Netherlands during the holidays. I didn’t see my niece and nephews for 5 months, and I miss them a lot!
We’re not sure yet if we’re able to go, because of all the covid measures, so fingers crossed!
What has been the highlight of your 2021 blogging journey?
Moving to Serbia.
One of the reasons I started my online business was to be able to work wherever I want and for our daughter to grow up in both our countries as much as possible. So being able to really move to Serbia after living in the Netherlands for 2 years and working towards that moment was definitely the highlight of my blogging journey.
What are you currently working on?
I’m currently working on a post about ‘how to be visible online as an introvert business owner’.
Really looking forward to posting it because I’ve learned so much about this topic in the past 2 years. I can teach beginners who are struggling with being introverted and at the same time wanting to grow their business online.
Lastly, why should we subscribe to your blog?
Because I’m always giving honest tips about blogging and my blogging adventure so far.
I don’t make any promises about blogging, social media marketing or owning a business that aren’t realistic. Just useful tips and hacks that can speed up the process a little bit.
I’m sharing the latest updates, tips, hacks and great offers for my subscribers in my newsletter for bloggers who want to learn more about these topics and grow their blogs.
