Sup guys? Hope you’re all doing good.
I warmly welcome you to “Creative Corner”, a platform I’m using to introduce you guys to new and like-minded individuals as well as to help fellow bloggers gain more exposure by introducing them to a possible new audience.
This series has been running for a while now and has grown increasingly popular on the blog. It now includes all kinds of creatives, not just bloggers.
I just love getting to know all these creative individuals because they inspire me and my hope is that they’ll inspire you too.

what inspires you to write/blog and where do you get your ideas from?
I love fashion and beauty, so it started as just a hobby, but I’m so lucky it evolved into something new. I get my inspiration from seasonal trends, travel and my personal experiences.
Besides blogging, what else do you enjoy doing/what are your hobbies?
I love travel, whether big trips or mini weekend getaways! It keeps me happy and engaged in life so it’s totally worth the money I spend.
What would you say is the most challenging part of blogging?
The market is so saturated right now it’s insanely competitive. It’s really a challenge to stand out and keep your readers engaged.
What is the inspiration behind the name of your blog?
I just use my name, I felt like it was important to build the brand around myself and be consistent.
How do you de-stress after a long day?
A glass of bourbon and watching Netflix with my boyfriend.
Many think that blogging is dead, what is your opinion of that?
I don’t think it’s dead or dying, but it is evolving! All industries go through ebbs and flows and blogging is no different. I just think that people in the industry or adjacent to it need to be prepared to evolve with it to stay ahead.
What is your day job and what is your favourite thing about it?
I’m in fashion marketing and I love how dynamic and interesting the field is.
What do you do to keep fit?
I do a pretty intense mix of workouts about 4 to 5 days a week! That usually involves a HIIT class, yoga, boxing or Krav Maga or Pilates or a ballet barre class. I’ve also been stepping up my ab workouts so following Chloe Ting’s ab challenges on YouTube!
What advice would you give a fellow blogger that’s just starting out?
Be prepared to hustle hard and devote time and money to your content!
You need a budget to get started with your website, photoshoots and advertising to start out in a professional way.
What is the most difficult challenge you’ve ever had to overcome and how did you overcome it?
Skipping this one!
That’s alright LOL.
What a pleasure it’s been getting to know Malikah. I love how blogging introduces us to new and amazing people all the time.
There are so many great bloggers like you out there and I hope to be meeting a whole lot more of them.
