Creative Corner: Felicia – The Ford Girls Blog

Welcome! So glad you’ve decided to join us on Creative Corner today.

If you didn’t already know, Creative Corner is where you get to join me in interviewing a new blogger each week and getting to know a little more about the person (or people) behind the blogs we follow.

The blog authors each have a unique story and hearing about their blogging journeys and what inspires them is so interesting and pleasant.

Are you thinking of starting your own blog or you’re a blogger looking for some blogging tips and advice? Well, then this interview is just for you.

Today we have Felicia, a quarter of The Ford Girls Blog joining us on the blog.

Felicia is a wife and mother of 3 beautiful kids. She and her sisters; Danielle, Chloe, and Kirsten blog together as The Ford Girls. They are from North Carolina and through their blog; hope to be a voice for everyday women.

The Ford Girls Blog covers faith, marriage, lifestyle, and motherhood related content.

Let’s get to know Felicia a bit more…

Felicia of The Ford Girls Blog

What inspires you to write/blog and where do you get your ideas from?

My children inspire me to blog along with a desire to help others who are parenting and/or parenting while being married :).

Besides blogging, what else do you enjoy doing/what are your hobbies?

Cooking, organizing and anything outdoors.

What would you say is the most challenging part of blogging?

Oftentimes it’s finding time to write.

What is the inspiration behind the name of your blog?

Growing up we were known as the Ford Girls. We are four sisters walking different paths and blogging about them along the way.

How do you de-stress after a long day?

Leaving my phone upstairs or in the car and just focusing on my family.

Many think that blogging is dead, what is your opinion of that?

Absolutely not. People are always looking for suggestions, help and inspiration. I believe that blogs provide all three and with easy access to technology we are always only a click away.

What is your day job and what is your favourite thing about it?

Certified Athletic Trainer; the interactions with the student-athletes.

What do you do to keep fit?

I love a good Nike Training app workout – body weight, at home and convenient.

What advice would you give a fellow blogger that’s just starting out?

Provide great content, be authentic and don’t compare yourself to others

What is the most difficult challenge you’ve ever had to overcome and how did you overcome it?

The loss of a job.  By learning to keep my eyes focused on Christ and realize that there are lessons in a storm.
