Creative Corner: Aria – Vocalized Thoughtz

Hi there! Welcome to Weird & Liberated and more specifically welcome to Creative Corner.

So glad you’ve come to join me for yet another fun, fresh interview with a super talented blogger.

Today, we’re chatting to Vocalized Thoughtz, pen name Aria, from Uganda.

Aria writes about out depression, sexual assault and gender based violence.

Keep reading to hear more about this blogger and why you should be following their blog.

What inspires you to blog?

My inspiration comes from various things. I could be having a conversation with someone and when I get back home, I find myself writing everything I picked from or could have said during that conversation.

The injustices faced by women stir my brain.

Music is my driving force too. To mention but a few.

Why did you start blogging?

Like I mentioned briefly, I have a chaotic mind. Precisely because I don’t engage into conversations a lot. Most of my conversations take place in my little brain.

And it so happens, journals could face all kinds of hazards which brings the Internet into the picture.

I started blogging because I wanted to shout from the rooftop.

Who is your ideal reader?

I think my intention at the start of this journey was a place where I could let it all out for just me. But along the way, I have come to speak to souls that are hurting, those that are looking for a place that makes them feel like someone hears and understands what they’re going
through.

My blog has a lot of dark (I wouldn’t say dark per se but..) posts and I have come to learn that’s the stuff I’m able to elaborate not perfectly but the best way I can.

Aside from that, I have an entertainment section that’s all about K drama reviews and fictional books I can’t seem to stop thinking about.

How do you attract new readers to your blog?

I really try to engage through my Twitter and Instagram accounts. It’s a tight spot for me but I give it my best.

Which blog post is a “must-read” and why?

“In Bed With The Enemy”

This was a tight one for me but this is a blog post I would like more people to read because this is a topic I am most passionate about.

There’s a couple more like it on my blog and even though
it’s always hard to write about these kinds of things, I feel like I should.

Which bloggers do you admire and why?

Nsatu-rated Thoughts

This is a blog I connect with the most among those that I
follow.

She writes and loves poetry and I love poetry so much. Whenever I visit her blog, I leave with something in my heart and that means something to me.

What is your least favourite blogging task?

My least favourite is editing.

OMG! Editing drives me crazy because sometimes I’m trying to
polish a post up but my brain just freezes and that puts me in a bad mood.

Funny thing is that it is my favourite too. But if I am being honest, one element that is really hard for me is sharing my work.

Sometimes, I just publish a post and run away from the app.

How do you beat writer’s block?

I don’t think I try to beat it. I just give myself time and then keep writing bits of my thoughts whenever and wherever until I’m at a place where I feel I can sit down and write something that I can publish.

Your top tip for fellow bloggers…

BE YOU!

Lastly, what are your blogging goals for the year?

I hope to self host by the end of the year. My blog really needs a lot of pampering. I also want to write more content that I love and want to put out there.

Big ups to blogger Aria for being such a fun guest. I hope you’ve enjoyed getting to know them and have discovered a new blog to obsess over lol.
