Howdy! I hope you’re feeling good and living life to the fullest.
Welcome to the Creative Corner; where we get to know our favourite creatives a little more and discover new, intriguing creative individuals we might never have come across.
We have a fabulous blogger joining us as a guest today.
Meet Chi Chi, she created her blog, Galavanting About, in 2017 which covers lifestyle content, books as well as storytelling.
Say hello to the gorgeous Chi Chi of Galavanting About!
What inspires you to write/blog and where do you get your ideas from?
If I’m to be honest, I don’t know what my source of inspiration is – It varies. It might be a conversation I’ve heard while in the bus (eavesdropping. terrible habit, that), a project I’m working on at work might spark something, or even just looking at my siblings.
Besides blogging, what else do you enjoy doing/what are your hobbies?
Reading, being around babies and toddlers, research (as a practice) trying to bake and taking naps.
How would you describe yourself?
What is your biggest fear?
Fear, itself. Long story.
How do you de-stress after a long day?
I try to be adventurous on Uber Eats. The act of looking for something new to eat is the de-stressing part. I always settle for the same thing though.
What’s your favourite movie?
The wedding planner. A classic.
What is your day job and what is your favourite thing about it?
I work in PR. My favourite thing has to be the research behind every post, article, pitch, I love that. I learn something new quite literally every day.
What do you do to keep fit?
What is your “get up and go” song?
Smokes and Mirrors – Gina Jeanz.
What is the most difficult challenge you’ve ever had to overcome and how did you overcome it?
Figuring out what’s next.
In school you’re always given the next step, after varsity, I lost my mind not knowing what the best step was. Once again, long story. But I’m chilled now. I had a sit down with the director at an internship I was doing, spoke to my dad, spoke with my former lecturer and they talked me back into focus. I have people that I trust to guide me.
Thank you Chi Chi for taking part in this series, it was a pleasure having you.
