How To Approach Blogtober

If you don’t wanna end up like me, falling behind and backdating your Blogtober posts then this is for you! I’m going to tell you how you should approach Blogtober

Blogtober is a challenging month for blogging. Coming up with 31 blog posts for every day of the month isn’t a small or easy task. It takes time and proper planning.

Ideally, you should plan and write your posts in advance and schedule them so you don’t have to worry about falling behind or stressing to get a blog post out on a particular day.

How To Approach Blogtober

Keep a notebook or your phone on hand for ideas

You never know when inspiration might hit so keeping a notebook (or your phone) on hand makes it convenient and easy to write your ideas as they come so you don’t forget or miss anything.

Plan Your Content in Advance

Planning content in advance alleviates so much pressure.
If you plan your content in advance it makes it easier to keep up with the task of uploading content daily and helps to ensure you put up quality content that was well thought out.

If you’re looking for blog post ideas you should make use of Pinterest.

After planning start drafting your blog posts as soon as possible, don’t wait for October.

Schedule the posts you’ve already written

If you’ve already got some posts done and dusted then schedule them to go live on your site, this was you don’t need to worry about forgetting to publish a particular post on a particular day.

It also helps if you have content for a specific occasion and you want it uploaded timely when it will be relevant.

This will save you time and you’ll have one less thing to worry about.

Collaborate with other bloggers

Submit and accept guest posts or work on a post with another blogger.

Not only is it fun to work with other bloggers. It also helps to expose your blog to a new audience.

Accepting guest posts also helps you to have fresh content on your site even if you get hit with writer’s block. Sometimes as bloggers we are unable to write when we want to and guest posts are a great way to keep your audience engaged and entertained come instead of having them wait too long for you to come up with fresh, exciting content.

Collaborations will take a little pressure off you in that you won’t have to write all 31 blog posts all by yourself.

Take part in the Blogtober tags

The Blogtober Tag Game

Hallotober Blog Tag

Above are the 2 I took part in this month. I find tags fun and interesting and you get to know many inspirational bloggers.

If you like you can even create a tag game of your own.

Just be sure to tag the blogger that tagged you in the game (or that you got the game idea from)thus creating backlinks. Backlinks are great for D.A as they affect Google rankings. If you don’t know what a backlink is, it’s when one website links to another.
