Time To Declutter!

Upon returning home from Cape Town, I decided it was time to start afresh. Time to declutter!

I realised I was still keeping my notes and papers for a course I can’t even finish so I started in the study, black bag in hand and chucked everything of mine that was now useless into it.

I was still keeping study guides from modules I completed last year…

In the spirit of staring anew, I grabbed another black bag and decided to go through my wardrobe and remove all the clothes that either A) were too small and I thought I’d slim back into (realistically, my bone structure has changed and I’ll never fit into those clothes again). B) I hadn’t worn in the past 6 to 12 months because clearly, I don’t need them and C) clothes I just didn’t like anymore.

Some of these clothes I’d had since I was like 19 and they just aren’t my style anymore. They’re in good condition, some practically new from never being worn and I figured someone else should appreciate them.

I hate the idea of keeping things I don’t need, it’s such a waste!

But besides decluttering my clothes and possessions, it’s also time to declutter my life. Have you ever done that, decluttered your life?

I feel like I’ve changed and really grown more into myself in the 3 months I wasn’t at home. There are certain things and people I just don’t want to be associated with any longer. So guess what, they’re going too!

At this point in my life, I just want peace. I spent 3 months of my life truly living in peace and it’s not a feeling I want or am willing to let go of. I am no longer allowing anyone or anything to disturb my peace!

Anyway, I’m trying the whole minimalist thing because I just have way too much “stuff”. If you’re interested in minimalism, you should read “Minimalism For Beginners“.

Anything that isn’t serving you or your purpose, anything disturbing your peace – if you didn’t get rid of it during your spring cleaning, time to declutter!

Oh, and what’s with people keeping broken shit? GET RID OF IT! I believe that broken things attract “broken energy” (bad energy). If you don’t get what I mean the think about this… Have you noticed how one thing breaks, you don’t fix it now somehow you have 5 broken things in your home?

Fix it or get rid of it!

You’ll see, once you get rid of all the negativity, you’ll feel so much lighter and freer!

What are you waiting for? It’s time to declutter!
