Now, I’ve spoken before about why I started blogging and today I’d like to share with you why YOU should start a blog.
If you’re reading this then you’re probably already interested in creating your blog and you should TOTALLY go for it.
You’ve got nothing to lose and heaps to gain!
Blogging can be a hobby or a business, depending on what you want out of it.

Why You Should Start a Blog:
To Share Your Passion, Knowledge, Thoughts, and Ideas
If you’re passionate about something be it health, sports, or whatever it is then you should share your passion with others. A blog is a great way to do this!
You can also use a blog just to share your thoughts and ideas on pretty much everything from movies to books, entertainment, art and whatever else you are interested in.
If you’re an expert in a particular field then you can blog to share your expertise with others.
You Want A New Fun Hobby
Looking for a new hobby and do you enjoy writing? Then blogging is a great choice for you.
It’s super simple to start one and it’s great fun.
For Influence And Impact
Another great reason to start a blog is to influence and inspire others.
You have the power to be a great influence on others through your words and sharing your passions.
To Grow Your Business
Blogs are also a great way to help grow an existing business.
You can use your blog to share more about your business and communicate with your customers, showcase new products and services and share relevant information.
The Earning Potential
Blogging has great earning potential. There are some bloggers out there such as El Duclos and Kayleigh Zara that have managed to turn their blogs into successful businesses and blogging is now a full-on career for them.
Once you start your blog there are several ways that you can start earning income, some examples of how you can earn money using a blog are through affiliate marketing, selling your products or services and advertising.
I’m personally still working on this part and I’m hoping that soon I’ll be able to make money doing what I love.
There are various great platforms out there that you can use to get started. I started on Blogger then Wix but recently, I’ve moved to WordPress it’s working out great for me!
When choosing a platform to host your blog have a look around and see which one will suit you best. These are some of the other available blogging platforms that have been listed as the “best free blogging platforms for 2021” by Creative Bloq. Here are 3 of them:
Before you start your blog you should have a look around at some of the blogs out there and check out their layouts and designs and see what’s popular and get a feel of what you’d like your blog to look like. Of course, each blog is unique to its author.

For those unsure how to go about drafting your blog content and blogging in general, there are some free courses and more advanced paid courses that you can take on Skillshare.
I have been blogging for a while but just took a course on coming up with fresh content to hopefully get a new perspective and fight my writer’s block.
Once you’ve started your blog, you should read “How To Ensure You Always Have Fresh Content On Your Blog “and pin it for future reference.
There are plenty of people and resources to help you out along the way.
I’ve given you a few valid reasons to go ahead and start a blog so what are you waiting for??? THIS is your sign!
