I can count the number of people who know about my blog on one hand.
And that’s because I keep my blog a secret and in this post, I’m going to tell you why I keep my blog a secret from most.
Why I Keep My Blog A Secret From Most
I’ve been blogging seriously for about 3 years now but most of my peers and family do not know that I am the person behind Weird & Liberated, in fact, I don’t think they even know it exists.
My blog covers a lot of personal aspects of my life meaning the subject-matter often tends to be personal. I talk a lot about my struggles with things like unemployment and some of my personal traumas.
The main reason why I keep my blog a secret from most is that there’s a lot of sensitive information on here and some of these things, the people in my personal life do not need to know but I share them because it’s therapeutic for me. And I’m pretty sure others will relate…
I think that being kind of anonymous has helped me to remain authentic and honest. I’m kind of a shy person at times but I feel like here I am 100 % me without any fear of judgment.
I also sometimes feel that if people in my personal life start to read my blog and they know it’s me writing, I will feel the need to start filtering myself.
I’m pretty much “hiding in plain sight” though because that is my actual face in my bio hahaha…
I never started this for fame or recognition. Writing is just something I love doing and it’s therapeutic for me.
Anyway, that’s that on that!
Thank you to all my readers for your support and stay tuned for new content daily for the remainder of the month. It’s Blogtober afterall.

I’m totally with you – I keep my blog anonymous for the same reason. (and the only person in my life who knows about it is my bf.)
I can completely relate to this. Although I use my name and image publicly, most of my friends and family don’t know about the blog.
I can relate to this! I kept my blog also a secret for some time! It’s only now for the last 2 months that I am sharing my content to people and family and friends.
Ps: Great Post
Thank you.
Maybe one day I’ll feel comfortable or brave enough…
